elizabeth believes that her father's marriage to her mother is not one of love... her father has a energetic personality who is also easy to get along with while her mother is a nagging women who is self servant and who only things of wealth and riches... because of the poor marrige condictions of the Bennets, Mr. Bennet, to pass his time and fill his time with entertainment he reads books in his library, the same library that is his own world and a place that he can have his privacy and pace... elizabeth believes that her father should have been married happily and not in a merisable marriage such as he is in. due to the fact of the arranged marriage of Mr. Bennet and Mrs. Bennet which was not based off of love, one can see this impacting the sisters becuase of Lydia running away woth Mr. Wickham and also the younger sisters trying so hard to marry inwhich they are not in love. Mrs. Bennet is influsing het daughters into marriage of wealth and not of love. so the young sisters are always flirting with oficers in hopes of a marriage.
this type of marriage is not so common in todays world because everyone wants to marry someone that they love. this type of marriage only happens if there is a child involved and both parents wanting to build a positive foundation for the child... but in rare cases the marriages does not work out..
also women who are strugling financely will then to marry someone of wealth but not much emphasis is placed on it as in the lives of the Bennets.
