characters in pride and prejudice

mrs bennet- she is the wife of mr bennett who is a annoying and who is always trying to get her five daughters to marry wealthy men. she is always trying to come up with a sheme to get her daughters married... she is also a woman who speaks her mind and does not care who haens to hear her. mrs bennett also loves to have her way and when she does not get it, she plays the innocent victim, meaning that she accusing that person of denying her happiness.

mr bennett is the husband of mrs bennett. this character is very tolerable to his annoying wife who is always 'nagging' him in some situation. in this book we see mr bennett's love for a specific daughter elizabeth. we see this because when elizabeth goes to visit her friend for almost two months he writes to her and tells her to return soon.

mr darcy- this man is full of pride and looks down on the country people and sees them as inferior. he does not socializes with the people and everyone automatically resents him because of his distant behavior.

elizbeth- she is a very confident and strong will person who cares for her sister Jane. she is not as handsome as her sister jane but is favoured by wickham, darcy, and darcy's cousin fritzwilliam.

jane- the most beautiful sister in the bennett family she is quickly favured by mr bingely and by his sisters and even to mr darcy... she is a kind woman at the age of 23 ears old (the eldest) she is in love with mr bingely to the extent that whe nmmr bingely leave to london and then the rest of the goup follows, she visits her aunt and tries to findhim andwhen she finds out that bingely is 'with' darcy's sister she is heart broken.

lydia- is obsessed with officers and almost everyday she visits her aunt phillip to gossip and seek information about the officers and other events hat are to take place.

mary- a bennett daughter who loves to read. she is not mentioned much in the book.

collin- is the cousin of the bennett sisters who is to inherit the estate of mr bennett and he (collin) wants to marry elizabeth but is refused and then he marries her friend miss lucas.

wickham- is a liar who deceives elizabeth then the whole of loungbourn by telling them of his ill nature with furtune due to mr darcy. he ties to marry any woman with wealth so that he cangain money.
